KrakedMask Posted March 13, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2019 I plan on bringing flip flops but on some nights or early mornings would love to wear a pair of nice warm fleece slipper socks walking around. Is this allowed or do they frown upon not having shoes on?
jmcathome Posted March 13, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2019 You can basically wear whatever you ant on your feet. Slippers would be no problem. Just make sure to wear clothes with them 1
2wheelin Posted March 13, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2019 Only in the dining room. I sometimes go barefoot. I know--the carpet is filthy. Nobody else's problem.
cajunfla Posted March 13, 2019 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2019 Careful of wet areas, especially outside. Ship may have just passed thru a rain shower. Inside, I'm sure no one ever spilled a drink on the carpeted areas. Hahahaha

Hahahaha Hi Yes...watch out early morning...watch where you walk...a spilt drink is one thing, after it has been drunk is not as pleasant. 😆

Sauer-kraut Posted March 14, 2019 #8 Share Posted March 14, 2019 (edited) You can always have the best of both worlds with these fleecy socks paired with your flip flops! Edited March 14, 2019 by Sauer-kraut
Geargoesdown Posted March 14, 2019 #9 Share Posted March 14, 2019 I prefer going barefoot. Just be careful of the outside decks. They get quite hot in the direct sun!

meatloafsfan Posted March 14, 2019 #12 Share Posted March 14, 2019 I would recommend slippers with a sole. The floors can be slippery and lots of the slipper socks don't have any kind of grip on the bottom.
dmdiver Posted March 14, 2019 #13 Share Posted March 14, 2019 I would not recommend it - one spill on the floor and you're stuck with a wet, sticky sock.

Yeah this is my biggest worry...I have a few pairs with good grip soles on them but don't want to ruin them by accidently stepping in someones spilled drink...might just get a good pair of slippers! I have a pair of Wicked Good Camp Moccasins from LL Bean that I wear around home all the time and on my last cruise I wish I would've brought them with me. They are rubber soled, warm but not hot, and they don't scream I'M WEARING SLIPPERS. I don't like walking on the carpet in the staterooms (for some reason it really dries my feet out) and they would've been nice and warm at the Dive In Movies. https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/83162?page=women-s-wicked-good-camp-moccasins&bc=474-630-503422&feat=503422-GN3&csp=f
xDisconnections Posted March 14, 2019 #17 Share Posted March 14, 2019 It’s Carnival. You can wear whatever. There are no guidelines.
riffatsea Posted March 14, 2019 #18 Share Posted March 14, 2019 There are no sock police! The question is would you wear these out and about at a hotel on land? The ship is your hotel. I have slipper socks that I put on when I am flying a long distance but I don't usually wear them at a hotel outside of my room.
