Here's the details for the kennels at Denali National Park: https://www.nps.gov/dena/planyourvisit/kennels.htm

How are you getting to Denali? If you are traveling on your own, there's other kennels to visit along the way.

We are driving from anchorage to Denali. So yes we can stop by on the way.

At Jeff King’s Husky Homestead near Denali you will learn about the Iditarod dogs.  In fact they are on the Iditarod trail today!  Iditarod bred dogs have different breeding characteristics from the working dogs that you will see at the national park kennels.  The national park dogs work in the park during the winter.  Both are worth a visit.

Just outside of Wasilla, on the Anchorage-Denali road, is the Iditarod Headquarters with dogs and puppies for petting as well as $10 dog cart rides.  The headquarters is a great place to immerse yourself in the famous race history.

Let me clarify that location... The highway that leads to Denali National Park is the Parks Highway. The Iditarod Headquarters is located south of Wasilla on Knik-Goosebay Road at about mile 3.

As you go through Wasilla on the Parks Highway, turn left at the light for the Main Street/Knik-Goosebay Road intersection. Heading north, this will be the intersection after Wasilla Lake, McDonalds & Carrs Grocery.

The Iditarod Headquarters will be on your right just after the ball fields.
