Celebrity EDGE, ? from a non-Celebrity cruiser

We have never sailed on Celebrity, but were in port with the Edge a couple of weeks ago.  Had to take a couple of pictures of this amazing looking ship but it brought up questions for us.   I tried just looking on the CC info about this ship but it still left questions for us.

First- we were trying to figure out the balcony or non-balcony look?  Are those balconies that have a 'window-sash' type of opening to the air or how would you describe it?

Second- is there a Promenade deck to walk around the outside of the ship?  Couldn't see one, but we were looking straight up at it from the dock between our ships.  Our cabin was Aft so we couldn't see it from there either.

It does look like an amazing ship.  Hope those of you who have sailed on her had a great time.

It does not habe a promenade deck that goes all the way around the ship which really bummed us out, and the way the lifeboats are the view isn’t that great and there isn’t any seating except at the aft. We didn’t do a balcony room on our trip.

Other than that we really enjoyed it. I did post a review from the viewpoint of new to celebrity that has lots of pictures if your interested.

OP

The windows you saw are probably Infinite Verandas..   Windows that open abd you can look out of,..  but not true outdoor balconies...There are many reviews and photos ,,..you can use the search feature or check the X website,

bon voyage

Fortunately, it isn’t circular.  It has some ups and downs and is more like a figure 8.   Bette than the small go in circles “jogging track” on the other X ships.  But in no way would it be a replacement for a true Promenade deck.

No. It's actually more of a winding trail that actually has an incline at one point. We found it to be the best track we've ever seen.

Thanks everyone for the info.  I did find some pictures and cabin reviews particularly on those Infinity Verandahs.   The balcony chairs look kind of short but loving the rocking chairs in some cabins.  Very intriguing still and such a beautiful ship.

We've heard on the CC boards that the rocking chairs have been removed. Don't get too excited about them.
