We are thinking about taking a grand suite at the front of deck10 . Could anyone let me know what the motion is like as my wife suffers badly from the motion

It all depends...calm seas or rough seas....

During rough seas, you'll feel the motion of the ocean relatively more when you are in the front and/or in the back (aft) of the ship.  Perhaps a cabin in the middle of the ship may be better for your wife.  Hope you sail through calm seas...Happy Sailing!

Motion is directly linked to the seas.  If it's calm, it's calm everywhere on the ship.  If it's rough, the front and back of the ship (like a see-saw) move more than the middle of the ship.

 

If motion is an issue, something mid-ship is a better choice.

You will feel more of the up and down motion the further forward and higher you are on any ship.  Side to side motion will be the same anywhere, although this is the motion that can be dampened by the ship's stabilizers.
