Catrin Posted April 11, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2004 Hi there everyone, Just a question to post out there... How many days before your cruise did you receive your FINAL upgrade or credit?? We leave in 34 days... and although the prices are still higher now than what I paid, I am watching them daily and just wishing for a special treat!! (yes, I am one of those customers who is never happy until I know I got the best deal possible!) Thanks! Cathy Ecstacy October 1992 Destiny October 1999 TRIUMPH May2003 TRIUMPH AGAIN! bethee Posted April 11, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2004 If you book guaranty at the pier. We stop looking after we pay in full but that is just us. Easy to please I guess. I look for the best price I can find and then feel comfortable with it. Any cabin on any cruise ship is fine with me....do not have to cook, clean and all that stuff. halos Posted April 11, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2004 I have read quite a few posters who got ship board credit 10 days out, so I suppose an upgrade wouldn't be unheard of in that time frame. I guess it depends on what time of year you are sailing...certain times of year the ships fill up and upgrades can't be had. This time of year, I'd think you have a good chance!! Codfish Posted April 11, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2004 I've been checking daily for our upcomming cruise. Just after final payment the price dropped $50pp but not enough for us to get an upgrade. then just the other day at 30 days out the price dropped again. A call to the TA and we were moved fom our 8D on the lido deck to a suite guarantee. Others in our group were reporting $200 credits. Is it the last one? more than likely, but I've got my fingers crossed Just Posting To See My Clock Tick Away! mohavemommy Posted April 11, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 11, 2004 I have no prospect of a final upgrade or a credit. Prices on my sailing have gone up over $1000 since I booked. I guess I should feel lucky I didn't have to pay these prices now. More $$ to buy souvenirs. guidobiker Posted April 12, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 12, 2004 31 days out the prices for our cruise dropped. Had originally booked a 6B oceanview on the Triumph. Price drop for an 8A balcony was $110 more for both of us with a free upgrade to an 8D. Called cruise TA and was able to get the 8D but was only charged $20 more total. We paid a very low price for the 6B to begin with so it really made this a great deal.
