Casino Smoking Policy

Yes, I know there is a "single smoking thread;" however, I find conflicting information, so I would like to ask for up-to-date information please for those able to contribute only current information.  Please--I'm only inquiring about the status of smoking in HAL's casinos.  Thank you.

The smoking thread references HAL FAQs which states, "Onboard Zuiderdam, Oosterdam, Westerdam, Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam the casinos are non-smoking."

In HAL's current "Know Before You Go" document, it states, "Designated areas for active slot players in Casinos. Oosterdam, Eurodam and Zuiderdam casinos are completely non-smoking."

So which is correct and current information?  Does anyone have up-to-date information about which HAL casinos are completely smoke-free?

Thank you!

Both are correct. It's the wording that is confusing. A better statement might read:

The casinos on Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Oosterdam, Westerdam and Zuiderdam are completely non-smoking. On all other ships in the fleet, smoking is allowed in designated areas of the casino. On certain voyages ships may offer non-smoking nights. Please consult the "Where and When" daily newsletter once onboard for specifics of your ships smoking polices.

P.S. - that is my wording based on how I interpret their casino smoking policy.

The confusion is that the FAQ lists two additional ships as having non-smoking casinos.  I can confirm that Nieuw Amsterdam is non-smoking from personal experience last month and also last May.  Others have confirmed that Westerdam also is.  So, it appears that the FAQ description is the correct one, and they just forgot to update the Know Before You Go document to list those two ships.  The change to the FAQ was just made a few weeks ago.
