YC Boarding

Things are really starting to get real - we set sail Saturday!

I was just going through my boarding documents.  It looks like our boarding time is 1:30pm.  Does YC follow

those times as well?  Or can we show up to the port a bit earlier?  What have other people done?  I think we

need to be out of our hotel at 11:00am and were just planning to head to the port.

Thanks!

If you are referencing MSC Seaside, the YC tent is up and starting to run at 10:30.  We were on the March 2 sailing, and got to the port around 10:40.  Boarding was delayed a little later than last time we were on her, but we were on board by 11:45.  If you leave around 11:00 you will be fine!

If your checkout time at your hotel is 11:00 AM...I would recommend you arrive at the pier at about 11:30 AM.  This way you avoid the rush of people who are there at 10:30 and lined up and obsessing about getting onboard before 11:00.  You are essentially paying for the YC experience...why not enjoy it to the max?  Spend some extra time in the lounge...have an extra glass of Prosecco and an almond macaroon...take your time...relax and enjoy.   Once you are escorted to the YC and acquainted with your butler and have been briefed by the Concierge you can head for the Lounge and have a cocktail then on to lunch in the restaurant.

The other point, in response, you can arrive at the pier anytime you want...ignore the 1:30 boarding suggestion.  You paid for the day onboard...enjoy it.
