Buying OBC for Casino

My husband and I have a Med cruise in September and we will definitely be playing at the casino.  Can I pre-purchase OBC to be used at the casino?  How does that work?  Would we just go to the casino cage to get access to the money.    We are touring Italy the week before our cruise and I do not want to be packing the cash that we would use at the casino.

They stopped casino OBC a while ago, if you buy regular OBC if you are not Sapphire and up you will be charged 3%

There’s a credit application you can fill out for casino credit.  I’ve never used it on NCL so I’m not sure how it works, but I’d think you can draw against it without fees, is that right “those in the know”?  The minimum is $5k credit line but you can definitely use as little as you want, and of course if you are a high roller, you can apply for a much higher line!

Line of credit with the casino is the way to go. It worked great for me.

Thanks to everyone.  All great tips.   We will probably opt for the Front Money deposit.  The credit line looks a little dangerous, but the good news is we are in port every day.  It's the sea days that would be costly.
