Allie322,  Thank you for your review.  It was very informative and helpful.  We are sailing on the Epic in a few weeks and were wondering if you have your Dailies and would be willing to share them?

We like to review them ahead of time to do some planning.

Thanks in advance.

Glad you had a great time!  The entertainment on the Epic was the best I've seen on a cruise ship.  Our favorite was Howl at the Moon too.  The only big critique of the Epic is I just don't like the design of the ship - for some reason it just didn't "feel" right.  Sorry about your disembarkation - I've never left from Port Canaveral before.  I wonder if that is normal, or just a bad day.

I was on this cruise with 9 family members.  We all had a great time!   We went on the ship knowing it was spring break and would be crowded.  Some of us took advantage of the quite zone deck on 18 for some sun and reading.  plenty of cocktail servers.  All staff was pleasant and helpful.  Shout out to Carol at the casino bar!  She is one great lady.

Are you able to provide any insight on the main pool, and if kids are allowed to use it?

On the Breakaway and Getaway they have a really dumb rule that prohibits kids from using the main pool, they can't even be in the pool area. Even though there is a separate adults only area on the ship.

My kids were too big for the kiddie pool on those ships, so I don't want to make the same mistake.

Thanks!

The second you get on the boat, go to guest services and book posh lounge, an exclusive less crowded area. They only sell 20. I didn’t do this but met someone who did. It was only $59, we were solo travelers. I booked the thermal spa pass, $199, unlimited use, and it was worth every cent. I cruised last week, also during spring break.

When you say guest services do you mean headliners? Can you give a bit more info as I am interested. I want to do the spa but 400 is just too much for us right now 😞

No you need to go to the main desk, I believe it’s call guest services, the place where you check your account. They only allow 20 per cruise. I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful, someone I met told me about it. Hopefully another poster can give more info.

Headliners on deck 7 is where you go to book the shows and speciality restaurants - we did this immediately when we boarded and were able to get all the restaurants we wanted at decent times. Did not book any shows - that line was pretty long.

Allie322 Thank you for your review! My husband and I (a Mexican couple) will be sailing in the Epic for the TA on April 27th. This will be our 4th cruise with NCL but never have been in the Epic. Do you (or someone else) have some last minute suggestions for us? I have been worried about the engine problems the ship had recently, so I would appreciate any comments on this topic. Also, it would be great if you can give me some suggestions about bars or places to have drinks not so crowded as the pool side bar. I am planning to try to get the Posh tickets, but considering we are Silver Latitudes, I am not sure we will board on time to get them. Anyway, your comments made me feel better after reading all the negative reviews, so thank you very much for that!

Maryuvas...just sailed last week on the Epic. No engine issues that I'm aware of. We had an awesome time! Cavern Club is a great place to hang out in the evening. It can get crowded, but we never had an issue getting a seat. 4 Blue is a really good band that plays there! Be sure to check them out. During day we like the covered walk way going into Spice. Comfy couches to chill out on. Fairly quiet too. Quick walk up the stairs to the bar. Again, not too crowded most of the time. We never waited more than MAYBE 10-15 minutes for drinks.

Thank you for the review.  Excited to leave Saturday!

Could you share what your cost for the Cabana was?  I'm trying to find this to convince hubby to book once we get on board, but the price I saw, said it varies by ship.

Thank you!

I was on your Epic cruise with you.  I opened up your review to fact check, ha ha🔍!  Just the husband and I in a balcony on deck 13.  Like many others, we did not like the bathroom layout, but we loved the rest of our cabin.   We had a great cruise, great food, and since we're early dinner eaters, never had to wait for a table.  The band in the Cavern, 4 Blue is fantastic, we watched them every night.  I loved how they interacted with the crowd.  We are in our 50's and somehow always ended up with the college crowd while sunning by the pool, all of them seemed very nice and respectful of others around them.  One young man even had music playing at Spice H20 and asked if it was ok, I happily welcomed it!  His playlist was vacationy😎

One thing that seemed odd was the glow party, not many people seemed to be at the family one, then we headed to Spice H20, still not many folks.  We always loved the White Hot Parties at other NCL Cruises we've been on.

One last thing to mention, the joyful washy washy Lady at the buffet every morning, such a happy, sweet person, I wish she was my neighbor.  She would set my day up to be a great one every morning!

I had the dailies, I'll upload them soon.

OH!  and another thing, we did the leisurely walk off at 9:30, which ended up being 10:30 .... I will always try to book my return flight for the afternoon.  That was wonderful just sitting at the buffet waiting for our color tag to be called.  When it was finally called, there wasn't much luggage left, we found ours right away.  But getting a shuttle to National car was a cluster ....

Even if you don't get Posh tickets a nice quiet place to relax is at the very front of deck 18.  When we were on the Epic the loungers were so much better than what was available on the rest of the ship we thought we had somehow entered into a restricted haven area.  Two crew members even set up a portable bar there.  Here's a picture of the front of deck 18.

We found the area in the Shaker's Martini Lounge and Maltings Beer and Whiskey Bar to be easy places to get a drink too.

I didn't mind the layout of the balcony cabin on the Epic what I didn't like was the fact that the shower and toilet were enclosed by opaque glass.  It would have been better if they were enclosed with solid walls.  I would hate to think what it would be like if someone came down with the norovirus and had diarrhea and was vomiting.
