I understand that tipping is not part of the culture in Australia. Here in the U.S., we always tip (or is it protection money?)the  longshoreman who do nothing more than put our bags on a cart.  Advice for Sydney please.  Thanks.

We have a different culture in Australia.

We are paid by our employers a good wage to provide a good service to their customer.

Also there are no hidden costs or expenses. The advertised price is the final price.

.When you pay your bill there’s one all inclusive price .No added tax ,service or duties.

Coming from the states you may find the service to be not as good but you will find it to be more genuine.

Pretty sure they’re casual labour, i know a year or so ago one fellow was a student I’d had in a lecture a week or two earlier.

now they won’t knock your money back in all probability.
