Carnival Fascination things to do on ship on port days

I guess it would all depend on what kind of activities you are interested in.  The shops and casino will be closed until after sail away.  The pool (9AM) and waterworks(11AM) will be open.  The spa is open and there is always the fitness center.  As far as organized activities, there is not much going on.  A few trivia games, arts and crafts, maybe a bean bag toss.  Pickings are very slim to non-existent.

Most everyone is off the ship everyday as a lot of cruisers have picked this cruise for the itinerary.  This would be a great time to enjoy Serenity, if that's your thing.

If you were interested in anything specific, let me know and I will look at the Fun Times.

I told myself we were going to stay on the boat for a few ports on the Fascination. Once we arrived to these gorgeous islands, that just wasn't an option anymore. With 7 days on a smaller boat, (and we didn't even have the 1 sea day it has now), we could only find so many things to do on the boat. Barbados and St Lucia especially can be a couple of ports that you don't get many chances to go to.

I was able to get a nice Serenity fix everyday when we got back to the boat. I'd lay there for an hour or two and watch as we sailed away. I miss that itinerary!

We will soon find out about the "Fascination." 🙂 The reason being, we will be on it (we have had LOTS of rain/thunder/lightening and snow to come before we leave) for the first time this Sunday! 🙂 As my favorite island is St. Lucia (been there twice), this may be the last time for me, and I am so looking forward to visiting it once again, and having my friend check it out as well.  It has been over 20 some years since I have been to St. Kitts, and there are a couple other ports/islands that I have not visited, so we are really looking forward to it.  When I tell everyone there is ONLY 1 sea day, they are amazed!  I have done many cruises, but always two or three sea days.

There was one young man who I think never got off the ship and won several trivia trophies when he would be basically the only one "competing" when everyone else went on shore. In the more competitive contests, the two of us went head to head winning between us most of the ships on a stick.

Taking in the nice Caribbean sun! Like above posters said, many take this cruise specifically for the itinerary, and being a small ship as is, don't expect many to be hanging around onboard. I would suggest sleeping in a little to avoid the port day breakfast rush of people trying to eat before getting off around 9-9:30, then relaxing by the main pool or down at Serenity - whichever is more your speed. Sometimes they have good drink specials at the bar if you stay onboard, so grab a nice drink and relax. Have a good trip!

When we were on Fascination, we stayed on the ship at St. Kitts.  It was the only day we were able to get a deck chair right in front of the pool.  So we lounged in the sun and swam in the pool and enjoyed the quietness of the boat.  It was a great time for us.
