Infinity 14 day TA - Dress Code

Recommended Posts

We have seen passengers politely turned away on more than one occasion in this situation with a very discreet suggestion that long trousers would change everything.

Two dress questions:

1. We will be doing our first Celebrity Cruise on a 14 night TA and wonder how many “formal” nights there will be!  I know they are called something different but am not sure what that label is.

2. I am also wondering how dressy people tend to be on a TA?  We like to dress up but don’t want to feel out of place.

We've had three "chic" nights on each of our Celebrity transatlantics.  Many people did dress up.  With a lot of sea days, there has always been a festive atmosphere in the evenings.

Was on infinity last week saw someone with cut off shorts and baseball cap on backwards walk into restaurant for dinner , I waited to see if he would be turned away , he wasn’t, talked to someone at front door of restaurant and asked do you stop people because of dress code and was told they are not allowed to do that. We were in a suite and people seemed to dress better in luminae.

People do seem to dress better than on rccl but celebrity seems to be catching up.

We did a TA last November and there were 3 Smart Chic nights.  Only saw tuxes once in the MDR.  Hubby was thrilled with the new dress code.  On these nights he wore a dress shirt, no jacket, no tie and looked fine.  There were several gents in sport coats but DH did not want to add to the luggage weight.  We ladies have much more latitude and look good all the time.
