The deafening silence from RCCL must surely be telling in itself. If there was good news, I'm sure there would have been some update by now.

Sometimes no news IS good news...

Now I just wish they would hurry up and leave. May 5th is fast approaching and the suspense is killing me!

I have found Marinetraffic forecast pretty good - her arriving in Cadiz is no longer the issue, finishing the work in the dock will be - not sure you'll get much in terms of confirmation on that before the end of the month.

We are scheduled for the May 12th sailing. Hopefully we will get to sail as scheduled but, just in case, we have been researching alternatives. Our airfare and post cruise hotel is non-refundable so we are going to Barcelona regardless.  Most other cruises for those dates are sold out so it might be a land trip.

Same with us but in Italy. If there’s a cheap way of getting to Mallorca (ferry/flight) look into that. A week there is nice. So much to see and do. But same for mainland

I wonder if they will leave this late in the day or wait until daylight now?

Not sure it makes much diff - within a few hours of leaving she'll be out of AIS range and we won't have any updates till she gets close to the Spanish coast in about 10 days.

Does anyone know if she's taking the crane with her, or if they were able to get it off?  Just curious...

I would guess they have been able to lift it off by now, but you never know - at least the lattice section of boom that was hanging over the port side surely will be gone by now.

We are looking at Italy too. Our flight is to Barcelona so I have looked at a flight from Barcelona to Florence and then a hotel in Florence for the week. We can do day trips to all the cities we want to visit via eurorail. Then fly back to Barcelona on the 19th for our 2 night there before we fly home. It actually is beginning to feel like a really good trip doing it that way.

If they wanted food and supplies, they could just come back to Fort Lauderdale, that would be a lot closer.  Another option would be to ship the truck loads of supplies by ferry over to Freeport while they are waiting.

One of the articles posted recently said it was going to go through San Juan, I thought for supplies and workers.  Can't find the article now though.

Looks like Oasis is on the move.  0.1 knts

I don't see her as being on the move, but I do see a tug nearby and a pilot boat headed in her direction as of 4 minutes ago...

Hi if you have never been to that area of spain before there are some pretty good places to visit while basing yourself in Barcelona.  (if you fancy Italy look back at my response to Mousefan for some ideas)  From Barcelona- look at Montserrat(www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/en/tour/montserrat-spain.html),  Girona (to me a far nicer historic city than Barcelona),  Besalu ( amazing medieval town https://theculturetrip.com/europe/spain/articles/the-7-most-beautiful-medieval-villages-in-catalunya/) Sitges (a nice  traditional seaside town which remains a lot better than others in that area).  Further afield Valenica about 5hrs by train

The Koningsdam is leaving Port Evergades at 5:00 for Portugal.  Maybe the Oasis will try to travel with her.

That would be a GOOD idea

I'm unclear why or how that would be helpful or practical.

I presume if there is concern about propulsion reliability that RCL will have arranged an ocean tug for tow, escort or standby.

I'm surprised with sooo many phone cameras these days that NOBODY has taken a shot of the Oasis where its sitting in dock.

Considering how easily and quickly news travels they have done so well to keep progress away from prying eyes it seems.

Has anyone managed to spot anything on the ship or wha the final state the dock 2 was in after Oasis left?
