Hello!

Looking for a hotel in Miami to stay at that has some eateries and things to do around it.  Just staying the night before our cruise.  Would like it to have a shuttle (don't mind paying for it) to the cruise port.  Not looking for a boutique or small hotel.  Chain is fine.  Thanks!

Agree with Andymattmom's recommendation. We too stayed there in November and would have no hesitation in staying again. They do offer a shuttle service to the port. It is independently operated and you book it with the concierge on the ground floor. They have several time slots on offer. We made use of it and it was fine. Cost was $8 per person, so cost-effective for the two of us.

Hampton Inn Brickell is the most recommended and popular for what you are looking for. Pretty much anything in Brickell will do the trick. Downtown (just north of Brickell) also has good options too. But Brickell is a more lively and dense area at night.

Just Uber/Lyft to the port. Hampton has a shuttle for $8/pp an Uber from there would cost less than $10 total.

JW Marriott is another option. It is also located in Brickell area. Many restaurants within minutes walk and a large CVS next door.

Also easy to get to the water front for an evening stroll on the board walk.

There are a lot of ideas for hotels in the Brickell area.  Hampton Inn,  new Hyatt Centric, East Hotel, SLS, JW Marriott, The W, Four Season, and the Mandarin Oriental to name a few.

Citizen M is about to start being built on the land that was Perricone's.  There are quite a few others coming to the area in the future as well.
