Cubaoutings tour company accident - cancelled our 5/10 tour

Just received a very sad email from Gloria from Cubaoutings saying they had a terrible accident with the transport that moves their staff to work, and most of their workers were injured, and that they do not have the personnel to replace them., and their operation is now stopped for some time.   Our May 10 tour has been cancelled,-but when put in perspective of what cubaoutings is going through now- a minor glitch in our plans.  My thoughts and prayers go out to this company and all the families involved in this tragedy.

Check out some later threads on this forum -- look like something else is happening to all Havana tour companies and this may have just been a cover story.

Thanks so much for posting this.  We just got the Cuba Outings email and are scrambling to book something else.  Do not want to end up with another dead end.

these poor people (I don't believe the accident, but am very sorry the government is forcing them to stop  working as tour guides).  I hope everyone will be okay.

We booked with Havana Journeys instead.  Eyleen gets back to you to answer any questions within 24 hours or less.  Very pleased with them so far.  Great reviews on Tripadvisor.  Their webpage is havanajourneys.com

Hopefully someone that is down in cuba now can come back and post with more info. Something is definitely going on.

Just got back from our cruise to Havana.  Our Havana Journeys tour was really great.  I asked our tour guide if she had heard of the accident that affected Cubaoutings, and she had.  I would not hesitate to book with HJ.
