Don't get me wrong--progressive rock (particularly from British bands like Pink Floyd, Camel, Marillion) is my favorite genre of music. It's just that what my kid and all his friends seem to enjoy is *very* different. 

 

When we were on a Carnival cruise the teen club was playing loud hip-hop music that the kids seemed to love. I couldn't get away from it fast enough.
