MAHOGANY Bay beach w/2 Carnival ships docked - will all chars be taken

Sailing to MAHOGANY Bay beach in the near future on a day that will have two Carnival ships docked.  Was wondering I’d all chairs will be taken at the beach and if I need to consider renting a clamshell lounger in advance.

Has anyone experienced the beach when two ships are docked and how bad (crowded) was the beach?

Thanks

Depends upon size of ships.  But in general the answer is somewhat crowded.

Cabanas, loungers along the water front and clamshells, reserved through ship in advance, will be full.  Loungers further back maybe, maybe not.  I would say the after lunch beach is generally more crowded than the mornings.  People take morning excursions off site and return to MBCC and venture down before having to reboard ship.

Some will say go to Jack's Shack but it's also very crowded.  :classic_ohmy:

Lulu... you've been to too many ports.   This is Roatan, not Grand Turk.:classic_ohmy:

Thanks for catching my mistake, crewsweeper.

:classic_blush:  Sorry, I was thinking of Grand Turk.  :classic_blush:

Actually, Mohogany Bay with two ships was more full than horribly crowded.

Not really. Even though the beach is close by, you would expect everyone to be there. But many people decide to take tours and the last time we were there, there were plenty of chairs available, but also there are many chairs anyways.

We were there in early May on the Magic.  The Breeze was also there and beat us to the dock.  We left the ship around 10 or so and there were no free chairs anywhere.  We had a beach blanket and just found a spot on the narrow strip of sand (maybe 20 feet) between the water and the first set of chairs.

The water is nice but there is heavy seaweed on the sand if you venture out.

Don't put your stuff too too close to the water.  A large vessel went by and the wake washed up on shore and soaked a number of peoples stuff.
