crystalspin Posted May 15, 2019 #27 Share Posted May 15, 2019 The lack of a second chair is very disconcerting. How is that an improvement? Well, we are sailing on Emerald Feb-2020 from our home port; I guess we will just bring our own quad chair!

Thank goodness we're lucky enough to be in a mini suite on our Emerald cruise next week.
Rare Hlitner Posted May 15, 2019 #31 Share Posted May 15, 2019 I guess I have a problem carrying my own furniture onto cruise ships. It is easier to find a cruise line that has adequate furniture in the cabin. Hank

We have (2) mini-suites reserved for the 2-wk RT Alaska in June 2020; that was equivalent or not much more than 3 OVs for 5 people. But we just couldn't stomach the price of a mini-suite on the 28-day. @Hlitner That is why I have not sailed Princess in the past! On at least the older ships and original cabins up to Vista Class, on HAL you get a sofa even in Insides, but have to book a mini-suite on Princess. We did just stay in an added cabin on the Zuiderdam with no sofa, but it did have THREE chairs... and very easy access to the Crows Nest.

BigGuy25 Posted May 16, 2019 #34 Share Posted May 16, 2019 No chair to sit in seems like a really strange thing to do! Makes no sense at all. Are the balcony chairs on the Emerald small enough to bring one in when not using them outside.
