Viking River Cruise Experiences?

My wife and I are planning our belated honeymoon in Europe in 2020.

We are considering a Viking River Cruise on the Rhine - Basel to Amsterdam.

 

I have a friend who is as we speak on a Viking Cruise from Bordeaux who just experienced some very blatant homophobic  attitude from both an employee and some cruisers.  So, needless to say, I'm a bit worried.

Does anyone have any experience with this?
