I'm glad the Martini Bar didn't change! We just booked this cruise in reverse for this September so we will be following very closely for any of your tips during the cruise. Thanks for posting the Daily too and for all the details. Hope you're having a wonderful time!

Did they separate the beds that way with the mini-sofa in between or did  you come up with that configuration?  Very creative.

Noticed your shoes all the way up on the top of the closet.  Very creative use of space again.

I also noticed how thin the desk is. . Not even deep enough for the room service tray.  How are the drawers in the desk?  Useful or kind of tiny?

No I came up with the idea several years ago becauseThe gal I was traveling with snored and is too wild in bed like a mean flailing her arms kicking her legs she don’t even know if she does it and I didn’t like being that close with just the nightstands between us so I asked the room store if you could move the chair at first he said no but then when we came back after dinner he had separated the beds and put the chair in the middle and we found and it made the room feel much more spaciousThe gal I was traveling with snored and is too wild in bed like a mean flailing her arms kicking her legs she doesn’t  even know that she does it and I didn’t like being that close with just the nightstands between us so I asked the room steward if he could move the sofa,  at first he said no but then when we came back after dinner he had separated the beds and put the sofa in the middle and we found and it made the room feel much more spacious. I am 5’3” my traveling companion is taller and those are all her shoes, I have my under my bed I can not reach the top of that shelf. The desk drawers are very shallow I have hairspray gum, and misc things (small). The hair dryer would certainly not fit in any of the drawers. They do have the soft close feature. The lighted Mirror above the desk is very nice.

Wow...that closet space is sad.  Norma, I think there is more closet space in the Solo balcony cabins on Anthem.  Where did you and Sharon end up putting your clothes?

You are correct about the closet, very Difficult to access the safe when you have hanging clothes there and especially when they’re all jammed in when you have two women sharing a cabin.

Such great info. Is the shower a glass enclosure similar to S-class and Edge?  Hate shower curtains.

Love your presentation

Den

Sorry Den you are out of luck cloth shower curtain, no glass.I think that goes for all veranda cabins I don’t know about the suites on the ship but keep in mind we are in a handicap accessible cabin.

As I had stated before I took the new service Internet package it doesn’t allow you to stream and watch movies but it has been very fast and I have had no issues with uploading photos I hope it continues to be this fast for the rest of the trip here are the dailies for today .

Do you know which internet package comes with the perks? I am hoping for the stream so I can catch Drum Corps world championships while we are in Alaska (or at least watch some snippets)

Following with great appreciation.

We were with you the Eclipse both Baltic and TA to Argentina last year, and actually talked to you at the specialty bar.  We're on the reverse sailing in September.  Would love to know if a Coffee Card is offered at Al Baccio Cafe during your sailing, and how did the "surf" package work out to only $84 with Elite Plus discount ?

Yesterday Was quite a lazy day. My friend Sharon took a four hour tour, I stayed on the ship. She came back about 1 o’clock we ended up going to the ocean view café for lunch and then she was tired because we got up so early so we both laid down the next thing we knew it was 730 at night. We both didn’t feel like socializing so we ended up eating in the buffet for dinner instead of the dining room. It was silent disco night and I had brought some light up bracelets and rings and stuff so off to the martini bar we went for the silent disco. We met a very delightful couple from Ireland they were a lot of fun and we’re hoping to see them again during the cruise we had a lot of laughs. This silent disco was not very well attended I was surprised it was almost empty there were people there but not as many of us as I have experienced another cruise is  surprising to me.

Bar service at the martini bar remains excellent they are quick to serve drinks they’re friendly with their guests I’m impressed!!!!

Overall everything has been going well I have nothing to point out or address any concerns about,  I love that fact.

I forgot to photo the daily this morning before I left the cabin so I’ll try and catch up at that later today. There is a different format to the dailies and I am having difficulty getting used to it because I know where to go look for something and it’s not there it’s in a different place but that’s my issue not there so I’m going to post a few random pictures from yesterday again if anyone has any questions or would like to know anything please ask I’ll be trying get the answer for you if I don’t know it .

a couple pics of ocean view and the menu from the Sunset Bar.

Last night Was the first night of many where we have to turn our clocks ahead an hour. I always dread the time change whether you add an hour or subtract an hour. We will see what  The rest of today brings. Tonight is chic night .

Finally the daily... Listening to Bryan James in Cafe Al Bacio, he is excellent picture below. We had lunch in the main dining room, just love to be waited on.

Ate with 3 other couple, from Australia, the UK and Reno Nv, great conversation. Would love to repeat that lunch another day!!!

We are also on this sailing, having done the Westbound Transpacific in 2016. We had a great roll call group and have so far had a nice Connections party and today a cabin crawl. So far this is a very social cruise as is typical of crossings.

We set the clocks forward 8 times on this Transpacific compared to 5 or 6 on an Eastbound Transatlantic. This crossing will separate the men from the boys! 🤣

But we have to pay back those hours we gained in 2016!

Did you book the Millie? So far sunshine and every  day, too cold to go outside, You are from Chicago so you will probably like it out there in this cold weather the crew members have on hoodies with big thick ski jackets over them and are shaking in their shoes are so cold I haven’t looked to see what the temperature is but it’s too cold for me to go out there.

martini Bar has been very very good but not not packed which is okay by me. I’m booked on the Eclipse Sept 2020 same, Vancouver to Tokyo with Liesa

See on our Alaska cruise 🙂

Question for you...we want to book this itinerary for April 25, 2021.  We plan on booking it on the Alaska cruise coming up.  I see that they have changed their FCC system a little.  All we really want is the reduced deposit and not too worried about the perks, etc.   Have you heard if we still can get that and is that reduced deposit still refundable?  I found the form for May 2019, but I am still a little confused as normally you can't get perks with the TransPacific cruises...but I am seeing otherwise currently.  I think this itinerary looks fun...so many days at sea to relax and just enjoy the ocean.

Another day at sea and last night was another night to turn the clocks forward... I think 8 more to go...

Last night was Chic night most people looked very nice. Some long dress and some Tux’s. We have bee so lucky to meet such nice people when we agreed to share a table. Service was great last night and we are going to ask for the same waiter again, but our food was cold. Of course he offered to replace all the food. we had eaten enough and we had such a good time with our table mates that we passed. Sharon Had fish I had the lamb wrapped in Philo Dough and a baked potato. I’ve have never gotten a baked potato that was cold I guess I save myself some calories ha ha. I do you have to stress the waiter could not have been nicer.

No matter where we have eaten I have not managed to get any good pictures. That is Very strange for me.

Here is the daily today paper for Wednesday, May 1 and some random pictures. I’ve posted a picture of one of the cleaning gals and she’s been sitting on the floor with the spray bottle spot cleaning the carpet for at least two hours I’ve have passed by her 4 or 5 times. Now is that considered attention to detail?🤭
