Such a fun thread to follow. Thanks for all the info. We will be on Millie in February

LOVE LOVE all the light-ups!  We need to cruise together sometime because I bring them as well and we would have much fun lighting up the ship!

I’m lucky to access this one maybe some one with more experience could chime in. I think you just go to search and type in live and then go down and look for my screen name, I will see if anyone here can help me.

Today we are in Petropavlovsk Russia. We have great weather again, sunny blue skies but cold. Lots of people taking tours, especially popular is dog sledding!

we had to collect our passports but when we return we must turn them in again. They have very strict rules,We had to complete a form that said you’re either going on a tour or leaving the ship independently. If you chose to say I’m not getting off the ship at all and then change your mind you would not be allowed off the ship period. We got the form I was undecided so I said I will get off the ship on my own but as I’m sitting here drinking a latte I don’t know whether I’ll get off the ship or not, I do have my passport in my pocket so I can make that decision at any point. Sharon is taking an afternoon tour. This is the first time  the ship has docked, in the past it always tendered in Petropavlovsk, Russia.

lots of great people on the ship, I am enjoying myself tremendously. I have meet several people who will be on the next sailing as well.

Thank you very much for the updates and all the photos Norma! I will be on Millie May 17th, and am really appreciating all the information. I'm across the bridge from you in the Outer Sunset, enjoying the sunshine and cool weather. I often travel solo, and love it when I get to cruise with a friend.

Thank you again!

Look for me at the Martini bar or Cafe Al Bacio. I have several pictures of myself so you should be able to recognize me, don’t be shy.

Hi Norma, my husband & I are first time cruisers doing the 7 June Alaska trip out of Vancouver on the Millennium so really enjoying following your trip to get a good idea of the layout. The cocktails in the Martini Bar look amazing, we have the classic package as a perk but thinking of upgrading to premium after seeing all your photos of them. If you get time can you please post a picture of the hairdryer that is in the room as I’d rather not bring one unless I have to but I find the ones that are usually supplied in hotels et are useless for my hair, I know first world problems! Many Thanks

It’s Friday May 2.  The weather in Russia yesterday was beautiful sunny and blue sky. Many people took tours and seem to of enjoyed their tours.  I ended up opting to stay on board,  sat on my balcony and just enjoy the quiet. Most people have gotten into a routine on the ship I seem to see the same people in the coffee bar every morning. We decided to order room service this morning rather than going up to the buffet, Sharon had ordered a veggie omelette and I Ordered a croissant and bacon and the funny thing is they must have given us 25 pieces of bacon. I could not believe how much Bacon was on the plate it was a shame because I ate very little bacon and Sharon doesn’t eat bacon so I guess it’s better to have too much than not enough. I should have taken a picture.

Tonight is our second Chic night so everyone will be pretty dressed up and I am looking forward to it. they’re also having the second night of silent disco tonight it will be held in the sky lounge rather than the martini bar. The entertainment has been very good on the ship they have a duo that sings a couple of times a day a guy that plays the guitar he has a big repertoire, they have a dance band and am very happy with all of the entertainment options.

We had dinner again last night in the main dining room and continue to have great table mates last night we sat with a single gentleman and two couples from Canada one couple was from Toronto the other from Montreal, dinner pass very quickly with the conversations we had it was an enjoyable time.

Here are the daily programs for you today which continue to load easily.

unidentified white  bags on shore at the port I wish I knew what was in them there were so many of them the height of each bag was about 4 feet tall,  they were tremendous in size.

Frankly I have lost track of what day it is, has to review the daily program. It’s Saturday May 5. Even more confusion it it will be May 5 for 2 days.

The ship is really rocking today (which I live) but I feel like a pinball in a pinball machine bouncing all around.

The decks are still coded because of the wind and still remains overcast temp is 38 degrees.

The music continues to be very good, lots of dancing at night.  Bryan James seems to have a big following, he is that good!!

here are today’s daily’s and random pics from yesterday. No plans for today, however I plan to go to the show tonight Elysium.

If you have the classic package you cannot get the large martinis Unless you pay the difference between classic and premium package.you can do  Personally I would upgrade to the premium package then you don’t have to worry about nickel and diming. If I remember the classics allows $9.00 per drink and premium allows $12.00 I am posting  a picture of the hair dryer and the mirror that’s in the room. Downfall of hair dryer is you have to hold the button in continuously in order for it to work.

That's what duct tape is for.😄 Tape the button down! I think every hairdryer I have met on a ship is like that.

I  cannot commit to the date or date of today what I can tell you is we cross the international dateline at 11 o’clock last night.  They have live entertainment and a balloon drop. I did not go to this as all the sudden my eyes closed and I had to go to sleep which is very unusual for me, however my friend Sharon stayed for it so I got to hear all about it.

Yesterday was another lazy day we didn’t do much of anything except drink coffee eat lunch and nap.

Last night the seas were pretty rough and this morning as well but they seem to of calm down now and the sun is trying to come out the temperature is increased from 38 to 40° today we’re so excited.
