Stupid question about the site

Is there a setting where when I click on a topic it takes me to the first unread post in the thread?

Interesting! I've never done it that way. On most forums you can click on the time below the name of the last poster. On the right side. So where it says "x minutes ago". That's the way I've always done it. And it's consistent across most every forum I've ever used.

 

But it's cool to learn something new.

That will take you to the last post, but using the circle or star will take you to the last unread post.  All good stuff!

Clicking the star takes you to the first unread post.

The thread should have a star if you posted on it.  If not, it will just have a circle.

Is there a time limit to edit a post? Also, how do you make the edit?

Yes. You only have up to about 15-20 minutes. After the time limit expires, the Edit feature disappears.

The time limit continues while one is editing a post. If one takes too long the edit will not be applied.
