wombat57 Posted April 26, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2019 I am looking at booking my first Cunard cruise on the Queen Elizabeth. I have been on about 15 pother cruises and particularly enjoy movie watching as I don't get much of a chance to watch movies in my day-to-day life. Screening of recent movies (both in-cabin and in the theatre) is a wonderful feature of Princess cruises which I very much enjoy so would love it if this was also available on Cunard ships. I'd be grateful and if someone could provide this information for the Queen Elizabeth: 1. Are movies screened every day in one of the public theatres? 2. Are movies available on the in-cabin TVs? 3. What is available for viewing on the in-cabin TVs?
BigMac1953 Posted April 26, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2019 On most sea days, there will be a fairly new movie shown in the Royal Court Theatre. These movies are then repeated on your TV continuously the following day. Older movies in several languages are always on the TV channels. There should be a schedule in your room. newjoisey Posted April 26, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2019 i would say do not let your expectations get too high on a good movie selection
Bell Boy Posted April 26, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 26, 2019 Whilst movie selections may be better on Princess, there is always a trade off ! Princess don't have the high quality 'Insight lectures' and other premium activities throughout the day as Cunard Line has.
wombat57 Posted April 27, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted April 27, 2019 Thanks so much for your prompt replies and this issue is certainly not a deal breaker - I was just interested because of my recent (enjoyable) experience on a Princess ship. I'm definitely interested in the lectures and other activities as well and enjoy the differences of the various cruise lines I have been on. Thank you for your assistance.
