RESTAURANT RECOMMENDATION IN ROME

I am not very familiar with this area (a bit out of the center for my taste).

If you want to eat nearby, it looks like there are two restaurants with decently good reviews just around the corner from your hotel on Via Flavia.

La Pentolaccia (Via Flavia, 38) recommended for pastas

Punturi (Via Flavia, 46) for good traditional Italian entrees

Or you can simply walk around until you find something that suits you.

If you don't mind walking back to Termini, the Mercato Centrale is a really good place to walk to find good food.  It is a branch of the Mercato Centrale in Florence: I always to there to pick up a sandwich from Nerbonne and some other goodies that just look good to eat at the time.

Or, walk down the block to the St. Regis Rome.  You can get some appetizers in the bar AND, if you like Bloody Marys, have one of their signature riff on the Bloody Mary - the Mary Terranean.  Each St. Regis in the world serves the original Bloody Mary (invented at the St. Regis New York) and then does their own riff on it.  Just in case, my favorite is the Brunello Mary, from the St. Regis Florence.  Uses Brunello Grappa as the alcohol, rosemary spear.   sooo good!  The Mary Terranean has a  little kick to it from some peppers.    Honestly, I sat there one afternoon to collect another Mary riff (I've been to 7 different St. Regis hotels so far), and the walked away happily filled up on snacks and appetizers, too.
