Disembarking Monte Carlo

Our cruise finishes in Monte Carlo. The brochure shows this is a tendered port. Has anyone any experience of how Oceania handle this process.

We are keen to check timings as we have been here many times before and are therefore flying home the same day. We have all private transfers booked by our TA. I just like to check the details.

thanks

We docked on Riviera last November.

It seems to me that Oceania, in an abundance of caution, puts the anchor symbol on ports where you might need to tender. And maybe onb a busy day they do need to tender into Monaco. But we docked without issue, strolled past a very disinterested guard in their little shoreside building, and were on our way on tour.

If the ship is there overnight, it might tender the first day and move to the dock overnight for disembarkation the next day.  That’s what happened last August on Riviera.  In fact, the ship was docked by the time we returned from our excursion on the first day.

We did it the opposite way, boarding in Monaco.  We also were told it would be a tender port.  Not only that, but when we arrived at the port we had been told we'd have a long walk with our luggage.

But like the others have said, when we arrived at the port after an excursion from Nice to Eze and then Monaco, we drove right up to the ship.

That definitely was preferable!
