Question-What’s the best current overall Cruise Ship on Royal Caribbean?

Recommended Posts

Hi all! I was just curious what’s everyone’s favorite Oasis Class Cruise Ship is out of the four? The Symphony, Harmony, Allure, and Oasis? Maybe the Anthem, too. Thanks in advance as any feedback, recommendations, suggestions gratefully appreciated. 🌴🚢 😄

The title asks for best ship overall. Body of the post says Oasis Class and then you through in Anthem which is Quantum Class

In any case, it is a very subjective answer. One person may prefer Oasis based or Allure based on the Broadway show, or Harmony for the slides..but WAIT, Symphony has the slides but also has Hooked or the Playmaker... Then you move over to Anthem that has the iFly and NorthStar.

Personally, I like any ship I am on! I like the smaller ships and my DH likes the larger ships so we do a little of each class...I can find the good on any ship, I try not to look at what it doesn't have...

The current ship that I am on at the time is my favorite RC ship. Each one has its own personality. I have never been on a bad cruise just some better than the others. I have been on 40 + and 15 with royal. Was looking forward to the Sky Pad on Mariner in August, but it looks like that is not going to happen.

The one with the most productive casino, the least crowded Solarium, the quietest reading area, the fewest drunks, the best port times, the fewest children, the cheapest staterooms, the most empty elevators, no fake service animals, cleanest public restrooms, the fewest staff photographers, the most free food venues, the fewest loud announcements and the friendliest crew.

Not sure if you're asking about favorite Royal ship, or favorite Oasis ship but overall Symphony is my favorite (so it fits in with either question).  It's closely followed by Allure then Independence then Mariner then Voyager then Grandeur.

Will see where Anthem fits in as it is probably a completely different ship (and Navigator after the refurb).

Definitely subjective and how can anyone who hasn't been on every single RCI ship answer this question?

With that said...

My favorite overall:  Freedom

Favorite Oasis class:  Harmony

I have been on three of the four Oasis class ships, out of Oasis, Allure, and Harmony.  I would say Allure was my favorite Oasis class ship.  If Harmony had the pool it would be my current favorite because I liked the Broadway show over the other two.

However once we do Symphony in a couple of weeks, I will probably say it has become my favorite.

Fleetwide, I would say it would be a toss up between Freedom and Brillance.  I like to see the ocean while sailing.

Navigator.  Best AMP yet.

Within Oasis class, Symphony for now.  The shows and Solarium are better than Harmony but that is subjective.  Perhaps the Oasis AMP will vault it up there.

Of the Oasis class, it would be a tie between the Oasis and Allure. They are the two that don't have those @#$% slides in the back (yet).

Your actual question seems different to the topic title.

Yes, you are all correct as it was late when I was typing the question. I did just mean the Oasis Class. I’m not sure if I can edit it or not. I do a lot of research and do keep up to date quite well with all of the refurbishments and such. The only reason I brought up the Anthem is because I’m going on a 12 day Southern Caribbean cruise. It Cruises our of a northern State however, and personally I like going from the cold to the warm. So thinking of possibly changing from the Quantum Class Anthem of the Seas with back to back 7 day cruises for a western and eastern Caribbean cruise all though I do love the current itinerary on the Anthem to the Southern Caribbean despite personally I don’t think you can go wrong really with anywhere in the Caribbean on a 14 day cruise. It’s my hope that clears things up a little. I have never had anything to complain about in any Cruise I’ve been on so far just looking for recommendations incase I do decide to change. Thanks to all for understanding and of course feedback is still welcome, and I truly appreciate the feedback from all of you that like to Cruise as much as I do. Thanks!

The 12 night southern Caribbean itinerary is MUCH better than either eastern or western Caribbean itinerary out of Florida on any of the Oasis class ships.

You do know that Oasis will be in Cape Liberty next summer, right?

And that would be Vision as of our last cruise last month...superior and fits in almost every category you mention.

I couldn’t agree more with you with the better itinerary on the 12 day in my personal opinion. I was just thinking about the differences  in ships.

Yeah, I did know that the Oasis is getting amped up a bit I’m not sure what exactly there going to change however. Yeah, I can’t go wrong with Barbados, St Lucia, Puerto Rico, St Martenn, St Kitts, and Antigua out of Miami I don’t think. I’ve always seemed to enjoy the southern ones more but I guess it never hurts to try new places. Curacao, St Thomas, and Aruba I enjoyed quite a while in another Southern Carribean that was out of Puerto Rico though. As for the Western Cozumel was fun, Jamaica, and the Grand Caymans I though were a nice mix. I’ve never been to Honduras, Costa Maya,, Haiti, or Coco Cay yet. Thanks for your input I’m kind of particular and as I always say it never hurts to listen even though it’s likely more personal preference.
