mawsmaw Posted May 6, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2019 Hi, appreciate any suggestions. We are looking at booking a RCL cruise in September. Our issue is that all flights to Scotland leave between 6 and 9pm. Are there any places in New Jersey we could leave our luggage. Was thinking about one of the large shopping malls to do some shopping and having a meal before heading to airport in late afternoon. Don’t want to head to Manhattan. Not sure if RCL do any tours that day. . There are four of us. Thanks.
sddsddean Posted May 7, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2019 RCI will do a tour of NYC (we did it in 2017). Its a bus tour that leaves the ship around 0930 and has only one stop. About 45-60mins by the twin towers memorial pools (not long enough to go in the museum). The rest of the sights are drive bys. The tour will drop you at EWR about 1430. If you are flying BA, be aware that their check in doesn't open until about 1530, 'cos all the flights are late afternoon/evening. As far as I know, there is nowhere in Jersey Gardens Mall to leave luggage, but, depending on your flight time, you could go to the mall by getting the Airtrain to P4 and getting one of the hotel shuttles (probably the Embassy Suites or Country Inn) to drop you at the mall (probably cost you a $5 tip!), but a lot would depend on how much 'spare' time you have. Further it's located inside the secure area of Terminal C so you can't just go there without going through a TSA checkpoint.
