The best part for me of the Royal Dutch Tea was the Creamed Chicken over a biscuit.  There was also a couple of other hot items--a sausage/in a blanket type pastry?--that I liked.

Wasn’t there in April on the Westerdam, just the standard tiered tray with not enough scones for four plopped on the table. Disappointing again especially when it was Kings’s day!

The creamed chicken over a biscuit is called Koninginnehapje  ( The Netherlands and Belgium/Flanders )or Vol-au-vent ( in Belgium).

it should also include mushrooms and preferably mini meatballs.

the biscuit is called a vidée and should be crispy and right out of the oven.

We do not eat it for Tea though but for lunch or dinner, with fries or mashed potatoes.
