What time did you get on the ship and time you headed for Chops?
On by 1245...was informed immediately. Ate at Jamie's without a wait...limited menu (think 3 apps/salads 3 entrees 3 deserts).

Now, now, it’s only four months.

Don’t make the wait longer than it really is. 😉

LLOL. Actually time is going by so fast. I'll be boarding a plane from Ottawa to Seattle in no time.

You must feel like you partly own these ships with all of your great threads you’ve started the last few years of the ships being built 😁

Tonight we have 9 Of is from CC  getting together for a Group dinner at Wonderland!

Hopefully we get the very cool large table in the center with the awesome chandelier above

Always loved the furniture and artwork at Wonderland, however much less in

this venue than Harmony... also the venue is a 1/3 of the size of Harmony in my estimation.

On night 6 we’ll be at Izumi. Unlike the awesome Izumi locations of Vision and Voyager Class ships up in the Viking Crown, with great Asian furniture and art, this venue is bland, with plastic seating and zero view

Chops will be night #3. Like Izumi, it’s juat down the hall from Wonderland right where the Schooner Bar is, and like the other venues... no ocean view

More later... going to try trapeze school up at SeaPlex. For now, here’s where i’ve Been chilling the last 1/2 hour blogging....

DBFC3144-9AF5-49BC-B868-77692E2F48A1.jpeg

Toilet overflowed after flushing about 10min ago 😡. Maintenance hasn’t been here yet however I heard the water turn off and the loud “swoosh” of flushing, so I assume they’re trying to unplug something.

singinalot... my fave place so far has been the gym! On the stair master this morning a bunch of us watched about 20 grey whales (I think) feeding and breaching close by the ship as we sailed past. Always look for hundreds of birds flying and gloating  on the water... they’re hanging around the whales feeding on the scraps

3:45...trapeze School starts at 4pm... spots already taken through to

5pm. I missed roller skating yesterday because of this as well as they only allow so many people on the floor at once. This is only offered 3 times on this cruise... I’m guessing twice on the 7 day, so ensure you get up here early to get your spot.

North Star on this Alaska cruise is available one of three ways.

  1. Walk up, like I did after boarding today,
  2. Reservations during certain windows and
  3. At the glaciers for the low, low price of $49.99 per person.

The last one has to be booked at ShoreEx but they don't have it loaded yet.  I've seen the glaciers before from helicopters and this time from planes.  $50 is too rich for me, I'll let someone else have that... honor.

Great review! We’re going to Alaska on the Ovation in August and your photos are making me so excited! Is there a limit to the number of times you can ride the North Star? If I’m willing to wait in line and/or pay, could I potentially ride as many times as I want?

Both these first two days, there was a three hour block of “no reservations needed”. I was up yesterday, 15min line. Twangster posted earlier about being up today.

i have one reservation, that’s all the cruise planner allowed. However, I also booked the one of a kind “Hubbard Glacier viewing” for $49. I fully assume that the 7 day sailings will be very restrictive to get everyone on. FYI IFly has zero standby line, the won’t allow one, and no double bookings whatsoever.... I’ve already been there twice to beg to the boys to let me

on twice, but not to be.

Hi Claudio! It was great to finally meet you yesterday. This is my first time online and I just saw your review so I will be following along! Same cruise, yet everyone gets a different experience.

We also saw the lecture today. Stopped at Cafe Two70 Cafe for my Diamond coffee and saw the same line. However, that seemed to be for the sandwiches. The salad line was small when I arrived, and I had no wait for the coffee.  However, on this cruise the Diamond coffee is limited to just a few types and the regular size. On our last cruise when they had the extended Diamond coffee you could have anything nonalcoholic in any size. Oh well, it is still a nice perk.

Hey Ginny... likewise! 😁

they gave me a double shot Americano so I assume that’s ok. I’d better check

my account on line later 🤨

Seems like all the pools are heated...with the exception of the kids pool with the slides. The circle jet pool is heated (felt like 75 to 80). Obviously the covered area is more comfortable than being in the 55deg air. c07795c6efabe9ea111ce19499d13bd9.jpg
