Price Drop!

 Share

Recommended Posts

Interesting thread. I've saved $$ on both cruises we have booked. I do have price alerts set up, and I get regular emails on price changes. Those alerts are available right here in cruise critic under cruise search. Who doesn't like saving money? It is curious have refunds are given tho. My cruise next month was paid off. I requested OBC for the price drop, but instead they could only process a credit to my credit card...

I've been logged in on the Carnival site when I see the price drops. I did book under the casino rate. When I'm logged in I automatically see that rate as it is always cheaper. For about 4 days in July I had no Casino offer so the best rate I saw was the Past Guest rate.  Each time I've call Carnival for the price drop, I'm transferred to the Casino department. I find it a little curious that I even get a Casino rate. I haven't cruise in 2 years and I really haven't spent that much money in the casino. But I'm not complaining. I also have a cruise book for January 2021 which was also booked under the Casino rate. No price drops on that one yet!😉

Every time I check for price drop, I have not found a better rate.  have called my PVP and he has checked and he did find a better rate. When you are checking rates, are you signed in to Carnival website or do you just look at rates without being logged in?

Your cruise may not have a better rate. I have six booked and only one had a better rate.

Where do you get price alerts under cruise search? Do you have to search for the cruise first, then have the option to set up alerts? I do not find just price alerts. Thank you

See below. Search a specific cruise date and ship. Click the little bell that says “Get Price Alerts”
