Some people look forward to complaining. They'll wait on line, chew out some random employee who had nothing to do with the complaint, and then when NCL "caves in" and sends the complainer a $3 bottle of "champagne" (sparkling wine), the complainer feels like a "winner".

There's also the "I'm a guest, you're the employee...worship me" ego trip that some guests engage in for 1 week.

I get to deal with that in retail almost every day. Some people feel like they deserve free things just because they are loud.

1. people leaving kids in cabin unattended

2. my wife and I taking a picture on the stairs and a lady pushed her way by us in the middle of the picture.

3. Playing BJ dealer paid me on a tie and a player at the table pointing out her mistake to her.

Here’s my feelings on #3.

I never get get involved in someone else’s hand, win, lose or draw. Know your bets and know what they pay. That is business between you and the casino, and as I will stay out of your business, kindly return the favor and stay out of mine. I don’t tell someone how to play, and only give advice when asked.

Mis-pays happen a lot on craps because of the nature of the game, and when the stick is rushing the other dealers, it can happen more. I don’t sweat a dollar or two in either direction, as they tend to even themselves out unless a dealer is repeating the same mistake. If a dealer overpays me, I’ll attempt to correct it, but if they insist, it’s on them.

For 2, were you blocking a whole “chokepoint” so people couldn’t get through? This is a bit of a pet peeve to me, at least on the normal stairs. If you mean the decorative spiral stairs, I stay away from those.

I don’t intentionally photo bomb people, but sometimes I don’t realize they’ve set up tp try to take a picture right in the middle of “through traffic” until it’s too late.

@Bowlingbob, do you recall if there was a lobster night on the Escape in the main dining room?  That is one of the foods on my DH's food bucket list for cruising.  Also, how was the buffet food?

You mentioned that you had a drink package, do you know if there is a drink package for specialty coffees?

If you upgrade to the Premium PLUS drink package, then it includes specialty coffee. The normal "Premium Beverage Package" that you can choose as a Free at Sea perk does not include specialty coffee. As for lobster on the Escape, that is only available at Bayamo, which is one of the specialty dining restaurants. If you have the Specialty Dining Package as one of your Free at Sea perks, you can pay a $12 per person upcharge ($10+$2 gratuity) to eat at Bayamo, but you would need to pay a further $12 upcharge to order the lobster. So a specialty dining credit +$24 will get you lobster.

We were on the Escape a week ago, and saw a woman at Howl at the moon drop her napkin, and wait for the drink waiter to walk by, and ordered him to pick it up. I felt like jumping up and calling her a lazy b*&^, but decided to keep my mouth shut. We tipped the drink waiter a $5, and told him we are not all jerks.

Nothing for us to complain about on our cruise. Wonderful ship, great times, the food was awesome,  great service, and the shows were top notch.

...and then there are people who experience a legitimate service issue and attempt to get it resolved. Let's keep it real, here.
