GTO-Girl Posted May 12, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2019 We are taking a 14 day Journey cruise in November. I understand we can bring on two bottles of wine when we board (or can we?). My question is when you stop at a port, can you bring back on the ship a couple of bottles of wine you purchased there? Or is that not allowed? xbatt8 Posted May 12, 2019 #4 Share Posted May 12, 2019 It’s one bottle per person no matter how long the cruise is. And yes, you can bring wine - or any alcohol - back on the ship during port stops. However, that alcohol must be turned in, and will be returned to you at the end of the cruise. Bob

Bob I can confirm this statement as true from my experience on 2 Journeys cruises.
mets123 Posted May 13, 2019 #6 Share Posted May 13, 2019 It doesn't matter if it's a journey cruise or not. The policy is the same.
JaniceB Posted May 13, 2019 #7 Share Posted May 13, 2019 I would think this rule needs an exception on a 14 day cruise.

By that logic, someone on a 7 day cruise should be able to take more than someone on a 3 day cruise. It doesn't work that way.
Rare 1025cruise Posted May 15, 2019 #10 Share Posted May 15, 2019 The reason for the allowance is because of the old tradition of toasting your cruise. Therefore 1 bottle is allowed, no matter the length.

Keys2Heaven Posted May 16, 2019 #12 Share Posted May 16, 2019 Any liquor purchased in port after embarkation is held until the last night of the cruise.
