Skadar Posted May 14, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2019 I'm a new cruiser and am just wondering if these Deck 12 cabins are desirable or not based on the fact that they appear to be separated from most of the other cabins onboard. Just by looking at deck plans, they seem pretty amazing because it appears that you basically step out onto the active decks right by the pool, Sky bar, etc. Any thoughts? Clarea Posted May 14, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2019 Those staterooms were added to an area that used to be spa treatment rooms, so they are different than the original staterooms.

tharossta Posted May 15, 2019 #4 Share Posted May 15, 2019 Yes, new cabin large floor to ceiling window that looks out over the edge of the ship and a hallway that exits right next to the SkyBar and below the mini golf course.
soak01 Posted May 15, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 15, 2019 We had 1852 on Voyager of the Seas which is sister ship to Mariner of the Seas and absolutely loved it. Being separated from the other cabins made it feel like you were in your special section of the ship and having no through traffic was great. We were sailing out of Sydney to South Pacific, so had magnificent views on arriving and leaving Sydney, Noumea and Mystery Island. Would highly recommend. generalchadwick Posted May 15, 2019 #6 Share Posted May 15, 2019 We will be on the Mariner of the seas in December in the corner one 1864, it's shaped like a wedge which allows for more windows. Surprisingly I think this room was the same if not just slightly more than the room the person posted about above. I'll post more pictures and feelings about the room when we are back. This will be our first time travel with DDs age 2 and 7 at sailing so with the big floor to ceiling windows felt safer than having a balcony but still having an amazing view. http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/sites/default/files/styles/500px/public/blog-images/IMG_6436.JPG?itok=JvUL-m5P
