jnmanderson Posted January 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2006 Hi everyone! living this Sunday and have a question. I know they don't have cloth irons or boards in the room and I did see somewhere they do have any that they can bring to your room - like at a hotel. Question is can I pack one in my checked bag? With all the dressing for dinner and formal wear really want to be able to iron them and not want to pay the prices to have everything pressed. Any help from past cruisers on this issue would greatly appreciated! TIA! :)

madforcruising Posted January 24, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2006 Attention this is a hot topic. Irons are considered a fire hazard and therefore a NO NO onboard.
jnmanderson Posted January 24, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted January 24, 2006 Thanks! I haven't figured out how to search the threads yet! ;) I guess it is a hot topic - I just figured you could get them in hotels rooms that getting them in a stateroom would be no difference. Guess I'll have to look into buying a hand steamer! Thanks again!
madforcruising Posted January 24, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 24, 2006 Well the search funktion is a good idea, though I doubt you would have been lucky with these dizzy boards in the past few days (weeks? month? ). So don´t worry and I didn´t want to sound mean, just wnated to prepare you for heated comments;) . A steamer is probably the best idea, while I stick to the pressing service onboard, best service and much cheaper than in my home town.
