Extra Time After Excursion - what to do at port?

Is there anything to do by port after the excursion? We will have about 3 hrs left, but I've never been to this port before and from what I gather on the internet it doesn't have much stuff to hang out by before the ship departs. Is this true? Any ideas on how to spend an extra couple hours there?

Most people just do some shopping, lots of stores, then either have a drink at the bar by pier, or just take a tender back to ship.  The tenders run every 30 minutes or so all day long, if they have enough people onboard.  If you wait until the last hour, then they run more often, but there is a long line to wait to get onboard one.

Before heading back into the Tourism Village tender pier area, visit the craft market across the street.  Great prices vs the port for handcraft items.  You can also walk up 3 blocks to the swing bridge and eat at either Neiries or Annie's.  Good Belizean dishes, not jus the typical chicken and rice served on excursions.  Or if inside the tender pier, head to the Wet Lizard, for both drinks and good conch fritters and meat pies.
