Jacksonville port boarding pass question....

For one thing, if you don't have early access to your cabin, you won't have your S&S card, so if you wish to purchase any drinks they will scan your bar code on the boarding pass in order to charge you.  EM

Duhhhh.....I never even thought of that!!  Thank you for sharing!!  So, I'm assuming they do not scan it for boarding?

Something doesn’t sound right. How do they know who has boarded the ship if they aren’t scanning boarding passes when people board the ship?  They have always scanned our boarding passes (or S&S cards in the past) when boarding the ship.
