Is there a relatively New Diamond perk involving coffee at Cafe Promenade?

I thought I read about it some place but couldn't find in a search and might have just been on a particular sailing as a test.

I haven't seen anything.  In the past if the coffee machine in the lounge wasn't working, they would give a free specialty coffee to each D and above every day.  We've had that happen.

Have not seen this as a new perk for Diamond (and above) members on all sailings.

 

Sometimes, when there are a large number of Diamond and above guests onboard for a particular sailing, they allow these guests to get free specialty coffee at Cafe Promenade or Cafe Latte-Tudes.  I've seen this limited to once per day, and sometimes unlimited.

Not a regular perk,  but might be offered like Bob said on a popular C&A cruise.  Was offered on the Ovation transpacific last month.  Also, in the dining rooms, The Patisserie and the Solarium Bistro.

I have always been able to get free coffee in the Café Promenade, even before I became Diamond.

I think they mean specialty coffee.  IE a cappucino etc.

It was on our Symphony TA.  Unlimited all day and good at every coffee bar except Starbucks. Took advantage of it every afternoon at the Vitality coffee bar.

Maybe they are getting ready to eliminate the Diamond Lounge altogether.

How do you find out - note or phone message in cabin?

It was on recent Explorer sailing from Sydney due to high numbers (and of course people going up in status every cruise too!).  One coffee per day. On the last few days they didn’t even bother swiping.

The machine in the lounge was broken.
