The major boards had a problem a week ago with  "My SQL Server gone away"  errors and very slow response time.

It appeared to be fixed for about a week or more.   Today, Sunday Jan 13, the Holland America Board got very slow around 7:00 pm EST and now is returning this error message for any selection.    I think that Cruise Critic is simply not buying sufficient bandwidth from CloudFront to handle the peak usage of the major boards.

504 ERROR

The request could not be satisfied.

Having the same problem as a while back on the Princess Board.  Is there any way we can get back the old platform?  This one is just not too great and I don't recall issues like we have with this one.  I keep thinking somehow the issues will get fixed, but I guess not.  This is only one of my issues.

Same for Princess.  The Site Upgrade as a downgrade.  I think I'll start looking for an alternative to CC.

Working fine this morning,  but server error again tonight.  I can access some of the boards, but, of course, not the one I really wanted to see!

The HAL forum as well.

 

It seems the same as the last couple of times -- the major cruise line forums are down, other forums (roll calls, ports of calls, etc.) can be accessed (though some are slow to load).
