We just got off the ship in Civi aka Rome. First of all, the ship looks completely new again from the outside - as white as on the first day. Inside the staterooms, new white marble furnishings were installed on the shelf facing the bed, inside the showers as well as the addition of automatic night lights under the nightstands, which were new as well. Also inside the hallways a lot of wooden walls were renovated, etc etc... so indeed they are trying to keep her in shape... what a lovely ship she is... M&PGermany, thank you for sharing the details. Did you happen to take any photos of the changes?

claranda Posted July 17, 2019 #30 Share Posted July 17, 2019 Thanks for the link, karlewilliams. We were on Odyssey for our first ever cruise 10 years ago, so we’re looking forward to being on board again in October and enjoying the upgrades. MMastell Posted July 17, 2019 #31 Share Posted July 17, 2019 (edited) I hope she will be doing the Antarctica route in 2020 and 2021. Take care, Mike Edited July 17, 2019 by MMastell
2SailingNomads Posted July 17, 2019 #32 Share Posted July 17, 2019 The Odyssey does not have a hardened hull, the Quest is the ship that does and currently sails to Antarctica, at least until the new Venture true expedition ship comes on-line. 2SailingNomads Posted July 22, 2019 #37 Share Posted July 22, 2019 Not an issue 😎 I only pointed that out just in case someone sails to Antarctica - which was the best of my so far 17 SB cruises - I don't know that the Quest has had the same recent updates so their expectations might not be met based on that link.. But they all are great ships.
oceanviewer21 Posted August 6, 2019 #38 Share Posted August 6, 2019 Has any work been done to the pool deck and does the shallow area around the pool have water? The last time we sailed on the Odyssey that area never had any water, such a shame.
