Not exactly.  "Overall, as of 8 a.m. Sunday, odds of tropical cyclone formation were 30 percent within 48 hours and 40 percent within five days."

Much as I hate panic-monger posts ... for me NOAA says 70% chance within five days. 

 

But yeah, calling it a hurricane now just to get clicks is aggravating.

Actually, yours was a good informative post!  Thank you!  

Always best to be aware of any sort of tropical disturbance.  

The Weather Station was taking it seriously yesterday.

She is officially falling apart. Thank you God. It happens sometimes, a sub tropical storm but you have to keep in mind that temperature of the water has a lot to due with a storm forming. Right now the water is still quite cool.

Don't be discouraged from posting. Just be accurate. If you yell "fire", make sure that there is really a "hurricane" in the Atlantic,,, not a developing low pressure with a potential of maybe, someday, could be becoming a hurricane. In this case, you just jumped the gun.

Yes, don't be discouraged.  It wasn't insignificant:  It was the first named storm of the season and it impacted Anthem of the Seas.  The poor ship had returned a day late and the next trip was a Bermuda 5 day that got shorted to 4 days, with the Bermuda stop turning from 2 days into 1 day, and then they were asked to leave an hour early by Bermuda!
