Casino Comp Offers \ C&A Points

Recommended Posts

Can someone help me out here with a definitive answer? I'm finding multiple different answers and just want to be sure from someone with experience. If you use a Casino Offer for a free room, do you get Crown & Anchor points for the trip? Thanks for any help

Other free cruises also seem to earn points. We won a 7 night cruise at a charity raffle and got the full C&A points after sailing

Contrary to urban myth, I got points for my free Pinnacle cruise. 😉

Laura has 4 this summer/fall

I have three and one more i can book. I also read somewhere that if you are solo in a double occupancy cabin that you get double points... i have one of those, so hopefully that is true as well.

All of her casino comps are solo. Mostly shorties on Mariner. I have to watch the dog.

She will get 2 points per night

You absolutely do. I’ve been on quite a few comped cruises and always get points. Getting ready to go on the beautiful Harmony of The Seas.  Same thing with Carnival, you get points for comped cruises.

I have 7 of the next 8 booked that way. The Summer Sizzle & Tax day thing really made the next 4 months of heat... tolerable. Actually, I am the one with the larger point balance, and they offered the summer sizzle to my other half as well. We booked the three day in August with connecting cabins. Bam... two bathrooms.

I will admit................I am hijacking this thread to avoid starting a new thread, so please don't scold me.

I am on the lowest tier of casino perks.

I just got another offer for that free cruise.

Mostly 3-5 day cruises.

Reading thru the flier it says you will be responsible for some fees.

What are the types of fees besides on board purchases, and alcohol package?

And how much are these fees.  (Taxes and such) lets say on a 5 day cruise.

Thank you kindly.

Just typical port charges. Somewhere between $60 and $80. You can also prepay grats, but you dont have to.  Laura got a 7 day on Freedom out of SJ for September,  I think that was on the tax day offer. Rest are all 3/4 out of PC

I just booked the Summer Sizzle on Mariner in July, The fees we $83 and change\PP so with two people it was $167 if you were solo it would just be the $83 and Gratuities that you can either prepay or pay onboard.

Man I'm jealous, I guess some of you guys are either retired or don't need jobs. I booked 3 comped cruises for the next year but thats all I can do. Had to waste the other 5 I got including tax day and all the summer sizzles. I'd be Diamond if I could go on all of them.

Laura's offer was a BOGO, so the second person had to pay half of the fare. Solo doesn't pay any fare

I just checked and my “Taxes, fees, and port expenses” for my upcoming comped Harmony Ocean Balcony 7 Nighter are $115.29 pp for my wife and myself.

How much time are you all spending in the casino to get the points for a comped cruise? What games? Play amount?

You need 2,500 annual points. On slots, a point = $5 wagered.  So that is $12,500 bet, winning anything brings the net down. Laura does it by gambling around $500 -$1,000 over about 10- 12 cruises a year.

Lately she plays Wheel of Fortune @ $5 - $7 per spin
