Hooooly......25% increase is crazy!!!!  Glad you got the rate you did!!!!  What ship?  When are you sailing?  We have only sailed in YC once.  We have cruised MSC 3 times with another one booked for October 2019 (Fantastica on Meraviglia) and January 2021 (Fantastica experience - Divina).......  Would love to sail in the YC again if the rates weren't so very high........  great experience though 🙂

We're on the same cruise as you, Laura.  We embark Meraviglia on Oct 18th and go to Canada before then heading to Miami via the Caribbean.  We have a YC inside to look forward to before that on Seaview in the Med at the end of August.

That is awesome!!  Lots of cruising to look forward to!!!  Have a wonderful cruise the end of August!!!  Hopefully we will me on the Meraviglia in October!!  We met Niiki and Matt on their very first cruise (ever) on the Divina in 2017.  It was our first time on MSC as well.  My nephew is getting married on October 26th in NY so we thought since we were flying to the wedding anyway we might make the most of it and cruise after the wedding!!!  🙂

Good morning, we are just pulling into The port for Rome, and it looks very grey!

Just after we left Genoa our butler introduced himself he seems to be very nice he went through the list of  everything to check we were ok.

we had a pre dinner drink by the pool it was cooler than it looked up there and and we were the only ones, we then went into the TSL for a second one again we were the only people in there at 7.30!

We had booked a table for dinner for 8.30 and as it was now 8.20 decided we may as well set off... this meant walking by our cabin where we bumped into our butler Lova and his assistant cleaning the cabin next to ours, we said we would make our own way to Le Muse but we had no chance!

Luva insisted he would escort us, but he then phoned the restaurant to say we were on our way and...it was still busy so we had to go back to the TSL to wait. Nearly half an hour befor the table was ready! When we finally got there it was still full.

Nikki ... where did you have lunch?

We ate at the pool grill then snuck down to the buffet for a nose and ended up having a slice of pizza...

After dinner we went back to the TSL for a nightcap, and this is when I spotted the chocolate dipped strawberries and Venchi chocolates I stopped at 3 strawberries and 2 chocolates!

BTW we saw a Venchi store in Covent Garden last week, there is also one in South Kensington if anyone is in London.

The TSL was a lot busier now.

We decided to have an early ish night as our tour starts at 8.40 today.

when we got back to the cabin a plate of chocolate dipped strawberries was waiting for us in the cabin! I can feel a theme coming on...

Good morning you are up early. Are you taking the Pringles and chocolate covered peanuts on your tour in case you get peckish?

Now that’s an idea!!!

So pleased to hear you're receiving all of the benefits. As we were embarking on Saturday I was wondering how you were getting on. Have a fabulous time 😎

I just mentioned to DH that you were embarking this weekend, too.  Have a great cruise, CF!  😊

Nikki ... Putra at the Piano bar is onboard this week and heads home at the end of this cruise.

Morning Dave, we will go and find him this evening, I want to see if we can get one of the molecular cocktails.

Nikki ... Never tried one of those but did try a range of weird and wonderful coloured shots like the Fireball, if you like Bailey's there are some weird and wonderful ones he makes.

Sometimes you might see him in the YC during the daytime.

Good Morning Nikki and Matt...............I hope you slept well last night.  Sorry about the rain.  Hopefully it will clear up and you will be able to go on the tour!  Enjoy your day today and again thank you for all your posts! 🙂

Enjoying a glass of wine in the rain in the One Bar. Most of the passengers I think are still in Rome on their tours also a lot of passengers disembarked here today.

Random thought, the muster was a lot quieter than in the Caribbean. When people blame the Europeans for the noisy ness there I am thinking it’s might be more the South American passengers?

La Luna bar has a larger selection with fancier drinks.  I'd be interested to know what drinks package code is on your cruise card.  I would expect it to be 431, but it may be YCE.
