Good evening.  We will be cruising the Seine on Viking Kadlin in September, followed by a transatlantic cruise home on Cunard Queen Mary. I am working on transportation between these two ports. I am hoping that someone might be able to help with a hotel recommendation in LeHavre for one night between cruises. Thank you for any input.

I'm not completely sure, but I think this question could also be posted in this forum:

They do regularly discuss Le Havre on that board.

Also, due to the way CC defines geography, the OP could also check in https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/462-france-ports/ (which is under Mediterranean - Eastern & Western; even if Le Havre is not a Mediterranean port).

You've probably booked something by now.

We're boarding at Le Havre for Westbound leg of a crossing next year and have booked an overnight at: Mercure Le Havre Centre Bassin du Commerce Hotel by Accor Hotels.  There are others, but that and their Novotel looked the best to us as they're generally to a consistent standard.  The Mercure is slightly closer to port than Novotel. Both have restaurants and are close to other restaurants.  Registering with Le Club Accor Hotels brings up members only offers.

Can I ask if you've been advised of an earliest embarkation time?

Our cruise itinerary is from Southampton the previous day, but Cunard took the booking from Le Havre for same price, no reduction for missing the 1st night, so theoretically our cabin is available from early morning.

Booked private transportation from Viking cruise port to Accor Novotel in LeHavre.  D&N, our cruise is the end of Sept, so we haven’t heard anything about embarkation time from Cunard yet. (we are also missing first night in Southampton). Will report back when we do.

Hello butabeach, Hope you had a good trip and got home safely. Did the big chemical plant fire at Rouen have any impact on your Seine Cruise?

Do you have an update on boarding times at Le Havre? And have you any other useful observations about boarding there?

Thanks
