I'm in late-seating traditional, and as best I can tell all the large tables are in the lower level. I've got to say, that sounds completely backwards from my experience on other ships. I've always seen / had traditional seating in the lower level where they can accommodate large groups / tables, and upper levels were always My Time / Anytime / etc dining since 9 times out of 10 it's smaller groups of no more than 4. We also have requested a table for twelve, late fixed seating, for our family cruise (celebrating our 50th anniversary) end of July. I am told by travel agent we are confirmed. I am going to ask my agent to check on location of the table.

Do they have any area designated or appropriate for board game play? We were on the Summit last year, and they made arrangements for us to use QSine a few times during sea days, but overall it was difficult to find space and we were asked to leave a number of areas where we attempted to play games. We are booked again this year, but were hoping that the renovation would have changed the situation from last year. Separately, doesn't Celebrity offer an excursion of some sort for B2B passengers on turnaround day? As a New Yorker, I have never been on a B2B sailing with Bayonne as the turnaround point, but I have been on a few B2B sailings elsewhere and always had the option of one or more excursions. They had a game room where Park West use to be. The moved Park West to the photo area. We hey also had lots of board games on the long table in Rendezvous. In the last cruise they didn’t have a designated area that I saw in the dining room. I didn't see any tours for B2Bs. I just asked some other Zenith’s and they also said no. I saw they had a couple tours with late drop offs at airport.

It it is a nice hotel and is located about 5 minutes from B if A building and Union Square. If you want something on Nob Hill would recommend Fairmont, Huntington or Ritz Carlton. Nob hill is is a wonder location but not much in shopping up there and a rather brisk walk up to it.

They started walkoff at 8:20 I heard there were close to 1,00 walk off. B2Bs met in Rendezvous Lounge at 9:30 and back aboard by 10:00 The crowds hadn’t begun yet. Guests were invited to drop bags in room upon embarkation and the allow stateroom attendant to complete cleaning rooms. Rooms were available at 1:00. We had a light lunch and are settling back in our room. We we were invited to a Helipad departure but not sure if it will happen as we are getting light showers at 1:00 Edited June 16, 2019 by Jim_Iain

I've clearly gotta start sailing 3x a year, find the budget to do it in a suite every time, and get myself to Zenith!! What a great opportunity to just have happen while at sea! Lecture sounds great but I would hope he does or did something for all in the theater...unless he was a cruise guest. Good choice to make a game room and re-purpose the photo area...not fans of Park West but guess there is a contract. Does this mean the photos are all digital now on kiosks or in room tv? It was very impressive on EDGE...

Rare hcat Posted June 16, 2019 #545 Share Posted June 16, 2019 Thanks for pics of the walkway to /from the ship...We last cruised out of Bayonne when we had to take small shuttle busses from the terminal to the ship to board. This looks like a much better arrangement, but a decent length walk. With so many walk off guests..,it hardly pays to sign up for that even though we will be driving to the port. Our cruise is 9 nights...we'll pack light but will still have 2 medium wheelies, plus 2 small carryons . May as well take our chances with them taking our luggage and not rushing home!

Minya Posted June 16, 2019 #548 Share Posted June 16, 2019 Hi Im on deck two (2166) later this year Have you been along this deck? I am hoping its still a quiet area and the rooms are not too dark. I know they have large round windows but fairly near the water line. I am wondering just how much view people get from those windows. I was on deck three but changed it due to noise complaints from reviews. Deck two though lower seemed quieter.I would be very grateful if you could posisbly ask folk in or around that cabin please. I hope you will have fun on this cruise.I have yet to read though all the posts on this thread

Have a look at the dailies - Jim Kennedy did several presentations to all guests. He is an excellent speaker and I still have the NASA pins he gave to all teachers in the audience. So nice to be appreciated. Wendy 1
jcpc Posted June 16, 2019 #550 Share Posted June 16, 2019 JIm, Wishing you and Iain a great 2nd half. So funny to see that all the Zeniths still sit on the "Zenith couch" in the Retreat (That's my personal name for the couch!). I have not been on one Summit sailing where the Zeniths have not occupied that couch. Even if there are only 2 or 3 Zeniths onboard they always gravitate to that couch. I guess I'm a "horse of a different color" because I usually sit in the other chairs! An acquaintance of mine was onboard today as a guest of one of the staff and he shot a quick video in the Retreat. I saw you and Iain sitting on "the couch" waiting for the rooms to be ready and I thought to myself "oh, they got the memo re the couch"!! Enjoy the second half and from a strictly personal perspective I hope it flies by so that I can board on the 27th!! (But I do hope it's a nice leisurely cruise for you 😂) Janice
