We usually don’t do ship tours but booked one today to the JFK Library and The Adams Compound.  

 

We first visited the the library which was well curated.  They first showed a movie which was 20 minutes then we had 1 1/2 hour on our own to explore on our own.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

They have a new Hemingway Collection housing about 90% of his material.  The connection is described below. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next up is the Adams Farm and Compound.

We next visited the home of John and John Quince Adams.  This park is part of the National Park  System.  

 

The house use has been modified by future generations but contains all original furniture.

We arrived back at the ship at 5:30 which was also due back time.  We are just about to push back for our sail away.

Thats wonderful to hear as I want aware where it was grown.  It is a relatively inexpensive wine in California going for about $9-10 a bottle.  We don’t have much tax on wine in California.

Was a fun day and what was nice was it left at 1:30 and was a comfortable 4 hour tour.    Sometimes those 8 hour tours can be exhausting.  

 

I learned so much at the exhibition. When watching Walter Cronkite announcement of JFK’s death it brought back such vivid memories of that day. It really choked me up.

I think the only worse thing is when someone asks you what you do or did for a job.   Too often it is to size one up.   I personally like to get to know a person for who they are and get to know them. 

 

I’ve on more than one occasion said I was an adult entertainer.  The look on their face was worth a million dollars.

Just checked out Villa Maria  wines at Pak 'n Save one of our cheaper supermarkets. Right now its   $11.79 OR $14.79 depending on variety, cellar selection, private bin etc. That includes sales tax which seems to be 10%. Its certainly  less then general sales and services tax of  15%. Our dollar is worth a lot less then the Us dollar so you would do very well over here alcohol wise but you wont be able to visit Nelson on a Celebrity ship -too large small cruise ships only!

Actually it doesn't!  My family includes a few physician's and we have guests asking medical questions when they find out!  My brother in law is a gastroenterologist and gets very interesting questions when we sail together!  lol!

If that bothers you, tell them you sell life insurance and it would be great to set up a meeting to go over their needs.

Then begin asking them about how they are covered ..... whole life, term, medical.

We just got off the Summit last Sunday. The gentleman sitting with us, for dinner,  every night retired from working for Jack In The Box. I retired from working for IBM. We had so much in common.

Sounds like a great price for a good wine.  

 

We have not yet visited New Zealand but have a cruise booked late next year. Can’t wait.

sue on our last cruise when confronted by a fellow how kept pestering her about what she does to afford so many cruises responded.    I’m a Madam and Rob's my pimp.   She didn’t see the guy again.

I have met so many interesting people while cruising and have met a number of boring ones.   I love to chat with people about what they do for fun and or hobbies.  Also love to talk about where they are fun and hidden treasures of their locale.

Many many make that mistake.  You should hear telemarketers when they try to pronounce three vowels in a row.  Instant give away.
