Naples Hotel

We will be staying for 1 night pre cruise and are looking for suggestions. Near the port would be great.

I've stayed in three hotels near the port, all of which I would recommend, each in a different price point.

 

The closest and least expensive of the three is the Mercure Angioino, one third of a mile on foot from the port.  It was pretty basic but clean and close, the breakfast room overlooked Castel Nuovo, a lovely view in the morning:  https://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-1601-mercure-napoli-centro-angioino/index.shtml

 

The next in distance is the Renaissance Hotel Mediterraneo, a Marriott property, a half mile on foot from the cruise port.  It's a much nicer hotel but also more expensive:   https://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/napbr-renaissance-naples-hotel-mediterraneo/

 

The furthest one is the Grand Hotel Vesuvio, an older but quite posh hotel on the waterfront overlooking Castel dell'Ovo, one mile away along the waterfront:  https://www.vesuvio.it/en/

If you're just looking for a place to sleep for the night and proximity to the port, I've also stayed at the Mercure and it was absolutely fine. No frills but nice, modern and clean rooms. Very easy to get to the port by walking, assuming you can manage your luggage.

We stayed at Palazzo Turchini, which was just down the street from the Renaissance Mediterraneo.  The price was right, breakfast good and decent hotel.
