Prepaid service charges remain after upgrade

Hi, Has anyone ever booked a room, add their prepaid service charges to the bill and then upgrade to a full suite and have the tips remain at the non-suite price? 
I just upgraded yesterday and wanted to know would I be charged the difference on the ship or will it just remain at the lower rate. I am not sure if it just fell through the cracks or what but I was wondering if anyone had this happen to them before and wound up getting surprised onboard the ship.

Interesting, NCL I had prepaid the lower rate and then upgraded and was locked into the old pricing. That’s a bummer.

Why would you want to pay less in gratuities if staying in a Suite?

Where did I say that? I only told you what happened to me on NCL.

The gratuities will not increase onboard. They will be the same as you originally booked.
