Galveston ship replacing Liberty?

An officer on our recent Allure B2B said that there was "considerable talk" about about Allure being Liberty's replacement in Galveston.

Yes Allure or  Oasis 1 amped has been on the street in Galveston

They might bring Oasis down to Galveston in 2021 or 2022. Remember, Liberty was based in New York until 2015, then went into dry dock and repositioned to Galveston. Would love to see a Quantum class ship year round again in 2021 or 2022.

Since the timing is for Galveston to get an OA class ship starting in the fall of 2021 and Harmony is in Europe for her 5 year drydock and a Med. season does Harmony continue on to Galveston after her TA or does she head East for Australia?

From everything you read out there, Australia is nowhere close to being able to support an Oasis class ship. (Not enough ports to dock in due to ship size)

Time is of essence in Galveston

for timing of certain ships to be repositioned.

Which one Oasis , Allure or Harmony ?

Oasis 1 and Allure have been rumored the most.

I believe Royal needs at least about 18 + months in marketplace to post and sell cabins .

Therefore Royal has to begin actual construction on new terminal soon . And decisions about ships and itineraries are needed soon .

Negotiations are completed and  signing of ground lease with Port of Galveston is imminent.

Port of Galveston is close to completion  and  has performed necessary steps in order for Royal to proceed with project .

Decision time by Royal  is here for everything to properly  fall into place .

At least 3.  Two ships (Allure & Liberty) doing alternating 7-day itineraries on Sat/Sun and the smaller ship for shorter excursions that are timed for weekdays.

Or have Liberty run 9 or 10 day cruises to avoid port congestion if the shorter cruises leave on the weekend. I say Liberty as Royal seems adverse to having Oasis-class do anything longer than 7 days.

I'd love to keep Liberry for the 9 & 10 day rotation to the ABCs
