Does the cruise line excursion price to Chankanaab include transport?

 

is the transport in a bus or do they load groups into taxis from the pier and then regroup at Chankanaab.?

 

Trying to make arrangements to meet up with someone at Chankanaab.

We were there last month. We were sailing on Royal but did the dolphins at Chankanaab on our own because it was way cheaper than Royal. From our experience everyone who is doing the dolphins is in a group outside of the dolphin store. You could meet someone there. Not sure if that helps as we didn't see how all the ship excursion people actually got there.

Cruise ship excursions almost always include transport. If you book independently a cab to Chankanaab for up to 4 passengers will run about $12 each way.

Thanks John we did it last week. I know ship excursions usually include transport but as you know Cozumel with taxi union rules can be a little unique. I thought perhaps they would get a taxi voucher.

 

For anyone else that is interested - group return taxi fare included and choice of return taxi times. We were traveling with a couple that were doing the excursion and we were taking an independent taxi. They could have returned with us since taxi rate was for 4 but they chose to take the group taxi back, probably a mistake.
