I’m sailing on Allure in July and I’ve only been able to make a reservation once, even though I know they switch up the show.  How do I register multiple times?

You can't - they are typically limited to only once per sailing.

I’m interested in this as well.  I’m also confused about reservations for the comedy club.  I’m sailing on Allure in July and I’ve only been able to make a reservation once, even though I know they switch up the show.  How do I register multiple times?

In the past the comedy shows were the same all week.  They didn't switch comedians at all.  That's why you can only make reservations for one night.  There is another show later in the week that is in the theater and no reservations are needed for that show.  It is family friendly.

I have apparently have two comedians coming on board our upcoming cruise.  Under activities, it listed Stand Up Comedy Show twice so I was able to reserve one time for each.  I guess if you don't have that option you can only reserve once for the show and you'll have to go standby if you'd like to see it again.  I believe the one reservation rule applies to any shows you are able to reserve.

Your post has me more confused, lol.  Each show has 2 comedians.  I haven't heard of having 4 different comedians during the week, but perhaps that is a change for your cruise.  I know for ours next week, there are 2 comedians with several shows.

Good afternoon from our balcony on allure where we are enjoying a glorious sea day.

I didn’t follow up with any posts last night because, quite frankly, most of the night was an unorganized mess. Serious mix up with my time dining (i do know that night one is sometimes challenging )- wrong information on the app which sent us on a wild goose chase- internet problems ship wide- broken rising tide bar- the list goes on. I can elaborate on the specifics more at the end of this review, but  I want to give Allure a chance to leave a better impression. Everyone has a bad night now and then.

Instead let me describe what went really well...

1- dining room service. Once we were seated, out waiter ragash and deepu were amazing! Probably the very best I’ve encountered outside of speciality dining. Because we had momma Mia at 8, they were able to get us out in 55 minutes with appetizer (crab cake and shrimp cocktail), soup (French onion and wild mushroom), entree (prime rib and salmon) and desserts (key lime pie and chocolate cake). Pacing was perfect- Not overly rushed, but no significant down time.

2- the meal- perhaps we were hungry, but we very much enjoyed the food. My prime was Tasty and  tender (once i cut away the fat). Dh said same for salmon. The French onion soup was the real deal (not the typical cruise line broth with a crouton). Desserts were perfect portion and high quality. Overall I’d rate the dining room an a+ once we were seated.

3- mama Mia- fabulous! I honestly did not go in with high expectations. I didn’t care for the movie, so I didn’t hold much hope for a cruise ship rendition. Boy was I wrong! I can’t believe how talented the cast is. This is now solidly my favorite cruise ship broadway show. Total surprise in a great way.

We ended up closing bow and stern. The guitarist, Shelley page grew on me over the evening. Really nice personality for that venue. Nice mix of music. Only place to find an ipa- something tells me we’ll be spending significant time there.

Today we slept in because we relied on room service to wake us up, but room service never came. All was well though because we needed the rest and when we woke (at 10!) we just called in a room service order and it was delivered before 11.

By chance I stumbled upon flash mob practice and got roped in. The Video should be funny.

Spent a few hours at the beach pool. Deck 15 is crowded, but chairs could be found if you weren’t looking to be pool side.

Tonight is formal night. We have 7:15 my time reservations, Aqua show at 10:15 and comedy at midnight. Should be fun.

Regarding the comedy show- I was able to reserve the comedy show twice prior to embarkation. Once for tonight - we booked this cruise late so all that was available was the midnight showing. And a second show on the last night at 10pm. Both are adults only.

They called rooms ready at 12:45 so we headed to deck 11 where a long line of people were waiting for the door to open. No one had actually tried to open the door though :).

Room is fine- I just sailed Anthem in April and this bathroom is certainly smaller for those that it matters. I booked 45 days ago. Took a neighborhood balcony guarantee. Ended up on deck 11 close to aft with a very good view of the ocean. I’m sure we would have enjoyed a regular ocean balcony better, but this was $800 less as they were running a neighborhood balcony guarantee for $899 and an ocean view balcony was $1399. We ended up with $550 obc between rcl (150), ta (300), and myVEGAS (100). Used most of that to purchase deluxe beverage. We get one night speciality from our TA (thinking of trying 150 Central Park unless someone tells me otherwise). Also get a dinner at Johnny rockets because we were assigned a boardwalk cabin. I’m satisfied with the price paid as oasis class prices don’t move as much as others I track.imageproxy.php?img=&key=b5ec9cff05c76377

Verdict is out on the boardwalk balcony cabin. Right now the boardwalk is empty because it’s pouring.

150 Central Park is A LOT of food. We went there a couple of years ago and after the first two courses, we were done. Everything was good but just A LOT. I hate wasting food but I just couldn't eat anymore.

Central Park is as lovely as I imagined. What a phenomenal space on a cruise ship. Very quiet and peaceful - quite the contrast to the boardwalk.

We did park cafe for lunch. Great salad and dh had both hot and cold tuna sandwich- he said both were good.

We ended up making reservations at chops. Trying to get reservations at 150 Central Park ended up far too challenging. We know what to expect with chops. We will probably do Giovanni’s too. Thank you for the input.

Formal night dinner was very good. Made the mistake of getting the calamari and forgot fried food in the Mdr is sketchy. I had a appetizer portion of seafood linguini and beef tenderloin. I truly was able to cut it with the fork. Dh did the salmon again with every fish appetizer offered.

aqua show was excellent- solid A in the gradebook. It’s a must do on oasis class imo.

80s party in dazzles was packed- we couldn’t get a drink after 30 minutes so we left. No way we could actually make it to the bar- it was that packed. Plus I’m more of a hair band 80s girl and they were doing Madonna and boy George 80s.

Official word on comedy club (at least for this sailing)- they are not offering stand by and all shows were sold out online. If you don’t make a reservation online you are out of luck. Got confirmation that the 10 pm show on day 7 is the same comedians in the theatre. They will offer stand by for that performance.

All in all a wonderful day to be on the sea.

Lyft from Fort Lauderdale marina to ship was $7 plus tip. Left the hotel at 11:05 and were already eating in the windjammer by 11:30. Very streamline even though it was crazy busy in terms of people. Reminded me of my ant maze from childhood.

So far the service has been a miss in terms of beer. No one seems to know what they offer. Ordered a Guinness- server came back said they were out of Guinness light🤷‍♀️. I could have understood if the beer was for me, but dh does not need light anything lol. We ended up with a regular Guinness. Next server said they didn’t serve Guinness (even though we showed him the empty can). We ordered a ceerynada instead (told it was an ipa). We received a Sierra Nevada. Real world problems- if anyone knows a secret stash of ipa other than the pub please let us know.

Looks like the sky is going to open up again soon.

We are on the st Martin, San Juan, Labadee Route. We have the internet package so I’ll be sure to post the schedule for you. We have my time and have 7:15 most days. That time interferes with show times only today and day 4. Today we have 6:30 (it was the earliest my time offered because rcl site is wacky). We have mama Mia tonight at 8:00.

Its an overcast day but we managed to get onboard in between showers. Service and food in windjammer was typical rcl fare. Normally we don’t do windjammer on embarkation but we were on so fast we got there before the crowd.

Current situation - rooms should open in 15 minutes.

Try the casino bar for Guinness.  They usually have it there.
